Tip 1: Essentials first
Our first step to decluttering your workspace is to do a mental walkthrough of your work day and see what items are essential. This step will help you establish what items are important and which ones can be decluttered.
Tip 2: Must have items
Now that you have established which items are essential you can move on to identify must-have items . These items are not essential but they are helpful to you and make your workload easier to handle. This could be anything from a plant to a phone stand. These items make work easier. Keep these items around ! The rest of the items left on your desk are up for grabs.
Tip 2: Clean out your computer
The next step is to declutter your computer. Trash any old files you no longer need. Go through your email. This will help you be more organized.
Tip 4: Do a declutter at least once a month
This ensures that you keep your workspace in good shape! It's good to declutter often. We might not realize it but sometimes our workload might change month to month and a workspace that reflects that will ensure you are at your most efficient.
Tip 5: Keep a small trash can by your workspace
This is one of the easiest ways to maintain your workspace tighty. It eliminates small trash piling up on your work space.
