Have you ever walked into your kitchen after avoiding the grocery store for a couple of weeks, just to find that your options for dinner are sparse? Perhaps you only have a few ingredients in your pantry but you can’t quite figure out how to put them together for a meal? Look no further! Here are five delicious recipes with 5 or less ingredients, sure to satisfy any of your cravings. These recipes can please anyone in your house, whether you are having guests or enjoying a meal alone!


If you are in the market for a hearty breakfast food but just ran out of bagels, here is a recipe for 4 ingredient bagels that are as delicious as they are easy to put together.



Ingredients:

  • 1 to 2 cups of nonfat Greek Yogurt

  • 2 cups of self rising flour

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • Everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, etc (optional)


Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly coat a nonstick pan with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of yogurt and 2 cups of the self rising flour. Mix until it becomes a rough, non-sticky dough. If the dough appears dry, add yogurt as you see fit.

  3. Lightly flour a work space and then place the dough there, proceeding to knead it for approximately 5 minutes.

  4. Divide the dough into 8 parts, shaping each into a ball. Use your thumbs to create a center hole while gently pulling the dough into a ring shape. Do this for each ball.

  5. Place the bagels on the baking sheet, equally spaced apart.

  6. Mix together the egg, salt, and water into a small bowl. Brush the mixture onto the top of the bagels, and sprinkle with desired toppings.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through. Remove the bagels. Increase the temperature of the oven to 450F, then place the baking sheet back in until the bagels have browned.

  8. Enjoy! You can eat the bagels straight out of the oven or store them in a sealed container. They will last about 24 hours!

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces of ziti

  • 1lb of ground italian sausage

  • 4 cloves of minced garlic

  • 3 large handfuls of chopped kale

  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella


Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. At the same time, fill a pot with water and set it on the stove to boil

  2. In a separate pan, saute the sausage over medium-high heat until perfectly browned. Make sure to break the sausage into small pieces. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  3. While the sausage is cooking, boil the pasta and then drain. Make sure to cook it al dente!

  4. Return the pasta to the pot and add the sausage and kale. Mix these together until the kale becomes dark and wilted.

  5. Put half of the pasta into a 9x13 baking dish and sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella. Then layer on the remaining pasta and cover the dish with the second cup of cheese.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly browning. Remove from heat and enjoy!

  • 1 package of tortillas/fajita spices

  • 4 salmon fillets

  • 2 tbsp. cooking oil

Preparation:

  1. Marinate the salmon in 1 tbsp of oil and the fajita spice mix. In a pan, add the second tablespoon of oil and pan fry the fillets until they are blackened.

  2. In a bowl, smash the 2 avocados with a fork, and then season them with the juice of 1lime and your preferred spice.

  3. Flake off pieces of salmon and serve on the tortillas with avocado and garnish with lime and cilantro if desired. Top with salsa and enjoy!


If you’re in the mood for a great appetizer or a dish to bring to a dinner party, why not go with something that everyone will love: cheese! With only 4 ingredients, this baked brie dish is delectable.



Ingredients:

  • 1 wheel of brie

  • 1 puff pastry

  • Sliced almonds

  • Apricot jam (or any flavor)


Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Remove puff pastry from packaging and place in a nonstick baking sheet.

  2. Place the brie wheel in the middle of the puff pastry dough. Using a butterknife, spread the apricot jam over the entirety of the brie. Then, sprinkle the wheel with almonds.

  3. Once the spreading is complete, being pulling on tab of puff pastry towards the middle of the brie until the entire wheel is covered. Place in the oven for 15 minutes or until the puff pastry is completely browned and flaky.

  4. Enjoy!

  2. Add the oil, milk, and flour and mix until in a smooth consistency.

  4. Microwave for 2 to 3 minutes or until your utensil comes out clean. Enjoy!
